Rebecca Horn – ‘Heart Shadows for Pessoa’

With this installation piece Horn has put water onto glass which had a light underneath; the reflection of the water in a shallow pool is reflected onto the wall. A recorded sound is also used and synchronized with the movement of the water.

We are thinking about using water and reflections in out work so I think this installation relates really well to this. I really like the idea of putting light under a piece of glass with water on top and seeing the reflection of the movement of the water on the wall. You would have to keep the water on the glass moving somehow so that the reflection on the wall was always moving, which would be accompanied by the sound of moving water.
